Package opening

Question

Hello, since 2-3 days, when I receive a package and want to open it (and save it), I have to write the package number in the project folder. Until now, Trados had always "written" automatically the package number and I just had to clic on "Finish".
Is this a new opening process? As I have A LOT of projects to be opened, it is a little annoying and time-consuming!

Hi Anne Bühler , 
 
I can't reproduce this problem. Here's what I do: 
 
Open Package command in Studio 
Select package 
Path is written with the name of the package at the end 
 
or 
 
Open Package command in Studio 
Select package 
Browse to a new location 
New path is still written with the name of the package at the end 
 
What version of Studio are you using and are you doing something different to this?

Hi Anne Bühler , 
 
I don't really have any good ideas I'm afraid. We have not touched 2011 for a very long time now as we have had three major version releases since then. If it suddenly stopped working then it won't be because of any changes we have made. Perhaps you should try a reinstall and then this might fix anything that stopped working for some reason?
