Studio 2017 on MacBook: keyboard shortcuts and functionality issues

I've worked successfully with Studio on Windows laptops for years and am now trying it out in a virtual Windows environment on a new MacBook Pro. I'm running the latest macOS (High Sierra), the latest Studio (2017 SR1), Parallels Desktop 13, and Windows 10.

My problems:

  • Keyboard shortcuts don't work, even when customized to the Mac keyboard. Most of them cause the program to hang. Most any keystroke/command will stop the hanging, but invariably, the active target segment is deleted.
  • The undo/redo history is not kept, so it's impossible to undo any mistake. Instead, the undo history just shows multiple instances of "Clear Target Segment."

Those are the two main problems. Has anyone else experienced this--and has anyone found a solution??

Many thanks,

  • Ctrl+Z (or Command+Z) does not work, unfortunately: It causes the program to hang or crash. I can't undo/redo via the toolbar either, since the history is not kept. Basically, NO keyboard shortcuts are safe, not even Ctrl+S. They occasionally work, but typically, they cause the program to hang, then delete the active target statement the next time I hit any key or click the mouse. So I have to initiate every command from the toolbars, which makes for slow work and lots of mousing.

I've seen on other threads that no Mac version of Studio is planned, and because I like Studio and this experiment with Parallels has clearly failed, I'll abandon the idea of working on a Mac.
