A strange problem in Trados Studio 2017 happens. Suppose I have a segment that says, for instance, this (source and translation):
Cash Door->Puera de efectivo
And of course I confirm the entry, so it gets placed in the Translation Memory.
A little later, I realize that the translation is wrong and I change “Puera de efectivo” to “Puerta de efectivo". I confirm the translation.
Unfortunately, a little afterwards I reach a segment which source says “Cash Door (1)” and the Translation Results window suggests “Puera de efectivo” (before the error was corrected).
Why does that happen? I suppose that once I correct a segment and commit it to the TM, the translation unit should be modified but instead the wrong version appears. And the funny thing is that the corrected version is also there in the TM, but it is somehow overruled by the wrong (previous) version, and the only way to take it out is to physically delete the wrong translation unit with Control-Del.
So for short, if I commit a wrong translation to the TM and then modify it, instead of overwriting the translation unit, two translation units will be created, one correct and one incorrect, but when a source text is found similar to former one, only the wrong translation unit will be suggested (perhaps because it's older?)
Any ideas? It's a very dangerous occurrence, as it just suggests OLD translation units that might have been modified afterwards.
