When I try to open some files in Studio 2017, I get the following error message: < Index entry { TC \l1 "PART I: XXX} has invalid format. > If I try to open the same Word file in Studio 2015 it works fine. In this file, the table of content seems to be an issue.

Just closing this one off. Solution was this: 
 
1. Remove the TC codes from the Word file (search and replace) 
2. Update the Table of Contents 
 
Then Studio processed the file correctly with the ToC intact.

If this is a problem for you in 2017 then remove it before translating and add it back again afterwards in the target file. the ToC is not translated anyway since it's generated from the fields in your file.
