Part of my job tracking is managed in SharePoint in a team site – to allow colleagues to see what the processing status of the jobs they send me is, as well as to allow status reporting of large jobs and for keeping operational risk measures in track (e.g. in my absence for a colleague to report that a delay in processing is expected).

I was wondering if there is a way to customise SDL Studio e.g. an extra tab in the Welcome View to allow me to update job statuses from within SDL Studio rather than needing to keep a SharePoint window open in my browser. My solution for a “quick and dirty” workaround would be to use show the team site in an iFrame in a tab in SDL Studio. Currently I am still using Studio 2015 with SharePoint 2013, although we are due to upgrade to Studio 2017 and SharePoint 2016 before too long.
