Not sure this is the right place to post. I was sent an Excel file in different languages, including Chinese etc. After translating into my own language (Norwegian). and ask it to save the target file to Excel, it says it cannot due to the Chinese characters....how do I go about getting the file saved back to its original Excel format? Appreciate help ASAP...thank you..
Here are the screenshots I get from both Trados 2015 and Wordfast Anywhere. It keeps saying it cannot save it due to the characters...I have done so without issues before and I am clueless at this point. I have spent 3 days trying to get this sorted...all over a 300 dollar job...sigh...
The Excel file in Trados is just a regular Excel Worksheet. This is the error message Wordfast is giving me:
Document download failed due to the following error:
->The translation of the Excel Sheet name(s) in Segment/s [2] contains forbidden characters, which is not allowed in Excel.
Check the name does not contain ? * : [ ] / \
