Trados Studio 2017 understands some letters as "ctrl +" commands

Question

I have a lot of problems with Trados Studio 2017. It works very slow, and I can't type fast or it makes strange things like when I write "a" (in a word) it understands it as "ctrl + a" and selects the whole segment. This affects also some other letters, which Studio understands as "ctrl +" commands. What could be the reason for this?

It may sound silly, but when I have seen this before it was because of "sticky keys". Solved temporarily by running my hand over the keyboard a few times and pressing the keys down to free then up, and solved more permanently by cleaning the keyboard. Probably worth trying as after a while keyboards can become worn.
