Studio 2017 Updating

Hello!

Some time ago I submitted a question relating to some errors showed at Studio 2017 opening:

1) Failed to get archive directory listing

2) Failed to load update data file

and received this answer:

"Might be related to this KB:

I first disabled the automatic updates and restarted SDL Trados Studio. Then I modified the registry according to these instructions:

  1. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0
  2. If there is no entry with UserInterfaceLanguage add the key with string value en-US
  3. Close the Registry Editor.

But the entry UserInterfaceLanguage and the key with string value en-US is present, so I didn't change anything

Therefore, as automatic updates are now disabled, I went through the other solution: "Download and install Cumulative Update manually"

There is a list of cumulative Update from 1 to 5, shall I download the last one as this is comprehensive of the previous ones? Or shall I download all of them? Shall I perform this operation regularly?

  • Thank you so much for the answer. Downloading the last cumulative updates is that what I did but upon installaing I recieive the message:

    "The update patch cannot be istalled as the programme to update is not available or the patch is designed to update a different version of that programme. Ensure that the programme to be updated is available and that the version of the update patch is correct"

    Actually Studio 2017 SR1 is available and its current version is 5.1.6278. Does this mean that the most update version is already on?
    But if this is true, why before disabling automatic updates when opening the application I used to receive the following messages
    1) Failed to get archive directory listing
    2) Failed to load update data file
