Verify: how to get rid of "ignored" messages.

When I run "Verify", there will be some messages about possible errors that are not relevant. So I mark them as "Ignore". However, if my revisor runs "Verify" on the same translation later on (or if I run it again myself after having made changes to my work), all the ignored messages appear again.

This results in a lot of repetitive unnecessary work.

Is there any way to ensure that errors/messages once ignored, do not show up any more?

  • Hi Johan,

I do long jobs in batches.

When I translate a batch of segments I first leave them with a status of Draft. Then I review the batch and confirm each segment individually to give the batch a status of Translated. Next I run a spellcheck, followed by a verify. Once any spelling or verify problems have been fixed, I use the ribbon filter to select all Translated segments (i.e. the current batch of segments), change their status to Translation Approved and then lock them.

Since I exclude locked segments from my spellcheck and verify, only the next batch of segments will be checked when I do the next spellcheck and verify.

When I have finished the job, I unlock the Translation Approved segments and change their status to Translated.
