Settings for xliff 1.2

Hello to everybody,

we use Studio 2017 and are trying to work with xliff 1.2 files from a wordpress homepage.

After checking in the files we have found things like this : [vc_row full_width="true" el_class="topimage" margin_top="0" margin_bottom="0" .....

shown as translatable content.

Does anyone know how to tag this content so that the source code doesn't show up as translatable text?

We haven't been able to mark it as  non-translatable in the setting for xliff 1.2.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Greetings

Heike

  • Heike, as I said, it's NOT possible to "change the settings in Trados" to do some miracle. XLIFF format is NOT (and never was) intended to be "further configurable".
ALL parsing and proper XLIFF tagging (e.g. enclosing non-localizable parts to appropriate tags, etc.) MUST be done on the side which creates the XLIFF, in this case the WPML plugin. There is NOTHING you can do in Studio settings about it. The XLIFF is incorrectly created. There is NO Studio setting which would fix the incorrectly created XLIFF.
You can try your luck with the Cleanup Tasks plugin. You will need to find out yourself how exactly to use it for your particular purpose, there is no generic 'recipe'.
