Hi guys.
I've been searching for more than an hour for a simple feature to split a huge .sdlxliff file in my Studio 2017 (simple as Split and Merge always did for me!).
Do we have ANY news that I may have not found so far?
I'm really surprised that (even after so many people arguing how helpful and necessary Split and Merge is) the SDL development team for 2017 still couldn't prepare a version or any kind of patch to make it work in the 2017. Okay, they say the plugin had "many problems when merging", but I believe "many problems" is still better than "not having the option at all".
From what I can see in these forum posts, it's been almost a year since users are asking for a solution. Toolkit clearly doesn't work as an alternative, as users want a feature to split the file in equal parts, not applying filters.
Even if the merging feature would not work after splitting, at least having it in equal parts (and applying the pre-translate option in the original for a final review) could help.
