There are a few reasons why this might be a problem. First of all make sure youhave Studio 2017 and have set up Iris correctly:

Next, or probably first in fact. What kind of text is it? Handwritten, some fancy fonts with lots of graphics? How clear is the hard copy?

Presumably you also installed it? In your plugins list it should be called "SDL_Trados_Studio_IRIS_add_on" in case you're looking for a plugin starting with "I"?

Hi Maria Rosaria Venosa , did you activate it as explained in the article? All you need to do it make sure it's active in your PDF filetype settings in Studio and then create a project to see whether it's working or not. Studio just uses IRIS for the OCR in the background once you have activated it.
