Problems with latest SDL Trados 2017 SR1 update

Hi! 
 
 I have just installed the latest Trados 2017 SR1 update (version 14.1.6413.8) and I have an sdlxliff file in which I can no longer "edit" (adding italic unless it already appears in the source segment, for instance), as the software won't let me save the file if I do. Is there a way to fix this problem?

This has been caused by the latest cumulative update which affects projects that started in the previous version and you are still working on after the upgrade. In a nutshell these are your options: 
 
1. Open the source file as a new project and pretranslate from your TM 
2. Remove all the tags you added using QuickInsert and put them back using the current version 
3. Roll back to the version pre CU8, complete your open projects and then upgrade 
 
Three options and hopefully at least one of them will work for you.
