Same file, but different statistics (Normal Excel vs Bilingual Excel)

Question

I have a simple structure Excel file with two columns, one contains English source, another is empty for target. 
 First, I created a project with only one file type selected (Bilingual Excel). 
 
 Then I hid all cells except the source column and created a project with normal Excel file types selected and Bilingual Excel deselected. Both projects were prepared with one TM (if it matters in terms of repetitions) and statistics was calculated before translation in both cases. 
 My question is why one source file gives different results in different modes? 
 Update: The file really contains loads of repetitions. So the 'normal Excel' option seems to be correct.

Paul, I think I know what I did wrong. I mixed the files by mistake when I was preparing the bilingual Excel project. Initially, I prepared a 2-column file for bilingual project and 1-column file for normal project, but I added the 1-column file into both projects. As a result Trados tried to prepare my file in a 2-column mode (with D and E columns preset) when actually only 1 column D left unhidden and available for translation. My mistake. Out of curiosity have you tried this with a clean TM? If you still get different results would it be possible for you to share your file so we can investigate it further? If that's possible you can send it to pfilkin@sdl.com

I have sent you a package with the project and analyses I completed. Both files give exactly the same result for me. I guess we need to see your project so we can try and understand what you've done.
