Embedded Excel charts translation isn't included in the target PPTX files

Question

I tried the Microsoft PowerPoint 2007-2016 filetype in the latest version SDL Trados Studio 2017 SR1 CU8, after a pseudo-translate round trip, found that the translated Excel charts didn't get into the target pptx files. Is this by design? That means it ONLY extract without import back.

Can you share a sample file that behaves this way? It isn't by design.

This post is old, but in case it can help someone else in the future... 
I’ve found that the charts remain in the source language in the target PPTX file until I right-click on it and select "Edit data" (or something of the sort; my system isn’t in English). Then when I close the Excel window that opens, the charts are in the target language.
