An 'empty target' status to indicate that it is left empty on purpose to pass to the translated document "as is".

Question

An empty target (no status indicated at all) passes to the translated document "as is". I would like to have some status for those empty targets so that I can keep real statistics about my progress. 
 I come across many documents on which I leave a considerable quantity of blank targets to pass directly to the translated document. It would be very useful to identify those segments, so that: 
 1. Progress statistics are accurate; 2. I do not need to review all 'Not traslated' segments to see if I have completed my work; 3. I may close my projects on a 100% completion status 
 Is there any status that indicates an empty target segment that will not be translated and shall pass "as is" to the translated document?

Perhaps the best approach is to copy the source to the target, change the status to translated (right-click and change status so you don't confirm to your TM) and then lock them. This way you won't touch them, they won't go in your TM and your progress should be realistic if you run the WIP report.
