Hi there!

I’m experiencing some problems after installing an update I was prompt to install within SDL Trados Studio 2017. This was nearly a moth a go, I think, and prior to this update, I was working just fine with no problems whatsoever.

This seems to be kind of complex, so instead of saying “this a (insert issue here) problem,” I’ll try to describe everything step by step, and I’ll try to be as clear as possible.

First, when attempting to translate a single document, the TM and document configuration window pops up, like this:

Everything’s fine here, but when I choose the target language, the TM selection window appears to be empty, like this:

I don’t know why, but after clicking on the arrow to switch between source/target language, the TM selection window appears:

If I click back on the arrow, the TM selection window is still there, so this means I can continue with the process:

At first, I didn’t pay too much attention to this, since I was able to work safely. But after a while, I discovered the TM wasn’t working well neither.

After finishing translating a document, I discovered that the TM was empty, even though I confirmed every segment with Ctrl+Enter.

I opened the TM I was using and found it was empty:

I even finalize the project to try to update the TM, but after the process is completed, I receive an error message which states there’s no TM to update:

What’s more, I realized the wordcount doesn’t work either:

So this is what’s bugging me. I tried using other documents, namely Word, Excel and PDF, but the result is the same. Let me state that everything worked just fine until I downloaded and installed the update I mentioned above.

What can I do about this?
