How to apply custom template to a package?

Question

My client has started sending packages with just the *.sdlxliff file in it, instead of TMs, glossaries, resources (they are against sharing due to privacy concerns). 
 I have my own Project Template for this client, where it automatically associates my giant TM, my Autosuggest dictionary, my glossary, my QA settings, etc. How do I apply this template to packages I receive from this client? 
 I realized that unless I manually edit the settings of each package, it won't perform the most basic QAa because they were not selected at the package creation stage.

The only culprit it has is, that it will NOT apply termbases, so this needs to be done manually afterwards. 
Or you just receive the package as usual and create your own project with the sdlxlifff from the package. When translated, simply copy your sdlxliff over the one in the customers project location on your PC and run "Translated word count", then create return package and send.
