I use Alt+Tab very often for switching to other programs and when I switch back to the Studio, the keyTips are still ON (highlighted letters like File, Home, Review, Advanced etc. When I begin to type, different tabs of the ribbon begin to switch instead of typing in the editor window, and unintended functions are executed sometimes!!! It is VERY ANNOYING!!! I need to switch off the keyTips so that they are displayed ONLY when I am holding the Alt key!

After switching back to Studio, before beginning to type, just click your cursor back into the Editor window onto the point where you want to begin typing. That should be enough to resolve this issue. It happens with other software too sometimes.

Just my 2 cents, but I have never had this problem with Studio, and I cannot recreate the situation you are describing when I switch between windows.
Maybe resetting/repairing Studio would get rid of the problem ...

Sorry I haven't read your reply until now. I've been busy with Christmas & family stuff. I had a lovely time and hope you did too!
I unplugged my mouse to try to emulate the behaviour you have described and the only way I can reproduce it after using ALT+TAB to return to Studio (at which point, focus does return to the Editor window for me) is to press TAB again. This takes focus as you've said onto the (then highlighted) initial letters of each button that could be activated by a TAB+letter key shortcut. Then, using the ARROW keys switches to focus only on changing between ribbon tabs.
Are you clicking 'TAB > arrow?'
Where was your cursor when you left the Studio program? If it was not in the Editor window, it will return to wherever it was before you switched. So, if you've clicked into a ribbon, that's where your cursor/focus will return to.
This same behaviour as generated with TAB then arrow keys occurs in other software, Excel and Word for example, so isn't specific to Studio.
