separation after manual feed

Question

Hi I have an excel file with manual feeds in cells. Can I convince tm do separate segment after manual feed?? I tried with creating a new rule but I failed

I guess you must be using the Bilingual Excel filetype then? You cannot change the segmentation with this filetype and it always segments by cell. This is because we don't know how to segment it. There may be more or less segments in the source compared to target and we don't know how they go together so the segmentation is always by cell. 
 
I did try a short workaround by aligning the files as two monolingual files to create a TM that would allow you to handle the file as a monolingual file, but the alignment module has a bug which prevents me from doing this successfully and I end up with the source segmented and not the target... so not very helpful. 
 
You could try the workaround using LF Aligner perhaps... I may give that a go later if I get a little time to explain how to do it, unless you already know?
