Validation error and other persistent annoyances

Hello.

In the last month, Trados has unexpectedly started showing extremly annoying behaviour when trying to open sdlxliff files and creating target files, making my work difficult and time-consuming.
 

1) The "Invoke or BeginInvoke cannot be called on a control until the window handle has been created" appears almost every time I want to open files, which takes extra wasted time and I have to manually open the files.

2) The SDL XLIFF validation error at line 6618 offset 2420538. The key sequence 'xxxxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxx' in 'urn:oasis:names:tc:xliff:document: 1.2:U_tu_segsrc_mid' Keyref fails to refer to some key" [It would really be helpful if this could simply be copied from the error windows instead of manually typing gibberish] (attached image file).

these errors started showing up after I applied the last update with Trados 2017. Any helps is appreciated. Thanks.

    I think it would make sense for you to reset Studio and then run a repair through the windows control panel. Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0

    So the path would become this:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0_old

    If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

    www.howtogeek.com/.../

    Once you've done this run the repair.

    You have two options:

I gave your suggestion a try and, and for a while, Trados seemed to be working normally, but I'm still experiencing slow behaviour and random annoying messages (eg., Trados freezes for at least a minute each time I go to "Project Settings" and changing between windows; a message appeared "Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than the size of the Collection. Parameter name: Index" coincidentally right after simply chaning the TMs order in Project Settings; There's no option to create AnyTM and it's impossible to find the one I created a long time ago, [the address can be seen in Settings, but, once there, there isn't anything], among other messages I don't remember). All in all, I'm simply fed up with all the amounting errors and I think a uninstall from the system and reset is in order. Any advise on how to complete wipe out Trados from the system and start fresh would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
