Problem activating file-based TM for use with server-based TM.

I'm working with a client that sends server based TMs that only update from their end, and I have been asked to activate/create a local file based TM to use while translating the files. I created a file-based TM and activate it through the "Use" tab on the TM pane of the Project Settings window. The problem is that when I try to update the PROJECT translation memories I get the following warning: No translation memories found to update for language pair... It appears that there is no Project TM activated.

  • Hello

Unfortunately your screen shot is a little blurred so I can really glean anything from this.

If you have created a TM already, this should be visible (as per the screen grab below) or you can choose to 'USE' one you have previoulsy saved.

You also need to utilize the 'use' option to create the connection to the clients server unless you received a PPX package in which case, you cannot add any resources directly to the PPX package.

Please be advised that throughout the project, the EXACT language pair and direction must be chosen throughout the project so I think there would be no harm in double checking all the language settings.

If you have already translated the file without updating the (your own) TM- simply open the file in the editor mode- go to BATCH TASKS- and update main (NOT PROJECT) memories (as the client would update their own memories and would not give you normally access to do this.

Let me know if this helps.
