Can Overwrite Perfect Match with Review Files?

 Hi,

I am having trouble applying edits from a bilingual review document to segments that have a PerfectMatch.

The only work around I can find is to manually select the segments and unlock them before updating from the review document.

The problem with this is that I cannot unlock all segments in a document with one click if there is a mix of PM and translated segments.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

P.s. As reference, my workflow is as follows:

1. Translate document

2. Receive source updates

3. Apply PerfectMatch and translate source updates

4. Export for bilingual review

5. Update from bilingual review

  • Hi @Rento

If I understand you correctly then I think the easiest way for you to unlock the required segments would be to use the ACTIVE DISPLAY FILTER and then select SEGMENT TYPES/Context Match-Perfect match- thus displaying only the locked Perfect match segments

Now once you have all the specified locked segments  (below i have used an example for AT- but this works just as well for any other available search criteria.

Now click in the first segment-

then whilst clicking and holding the TAB key- click with the mouse in the last (numbered column) segment-

Right Click and now you can unlock all the segments and proceed with your translations.

Please let me know if this has helped you achieve what you wanted.
