Translate Single Document / Create a Project

Question

Hi all, 
 Studio 2017 SR1 -14.1.6413.8 (Windows 10, Word 2016) 
 Have tried out "all" the suggestions given regarding problems faced using the Translate Single Document feature ...I am unable to go beyond the Language selection page (choosing the languages again also does not work). Creating a project was suggested. I am unable to Create a Project too. Get this message: 
 InvalidArgument=Value of '0' is not valid for 'SelectedIndex'.Parameter name: SelectedIndex 
 (Have tried the Reset Windows Layout -- it does not work.) 
 Assuming that the termbase was the problem...removed the termbase. Got this message: 
 Value cannot be null.Parameter name: templates 
 Hope someone can resolve this problem. Thanks Guru

could I please ask you to check that you have the correct languages installed and possibly to run a repair installation (not reset)

Many thanks for your wonderful help. Workaround 2 WORKED. Resetting Windows 10 options worked. I changed the names of the 3 files. (Not very clear if I also need to do Workaround 3...but as it has started working....I am leaving it for the moment.)
