Now I have a new problem with my trados! I bought a 2017 plus version and now, one of them doesn't work altogether. It gives me this error: failed to initialize view "simplestartview". I have multiterm and it works fine. Its type is: Sdl.Desktop.Platform.StudioException, Sdl.Desktop.Platform, Version=5.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=c28cdb26c445c888
What can I do to fix it?

I think this would suggest one of the Studio files has been corrupted (as you state MT works fine and the second installation is not affected).
Therefore I would suggest you perform a Studio repair-

Unfortunately, AntiVirus programs are known to corrupt some files (especially if the computer has been left on for longer periods, or has not been closed down properly).
Therefore please add the Studio/MT folders to your AntiVirus white list.
It would be good to hear from you which of the suggested solutions in the above article helped or whether you still need further help.
