How can I change the source I translated prior to using Trados so that they will be same word/sentence as in my text base?

G'day!

I'm having difficulties in making the sentences translated before loading into Trados identical to

translated sentences after using Trados. I've made up my text base, and I want the sentences before loading into Trados

to refer to that.

Any help?

Cheers.

  • Hello Paul Filkin,

My apologies, yes I meant translation memory & term base (tmtb). As you could see I'm still not used to Trados.

Which of your "lines" are correct? The ones in your Translation Memory or the ones in your previously translated file? And is your question really "how do I get the previously translated file into my Translation Memory?".

    >Sorry again, please refer my second message. The first message does not really makes sense.
    >What I wanted to say was that I have a file with first 2000 lines already translated before loading it to Trados. Therefore, they are not
identical to my tmtb. Can I make those 2000 lines to follow my (tmtb) or do I have to edit them one by one?

    Cheers,
