Translate
I use: SDL Trados Studio SR3 12.3.5281.10
I receive bilingual Excel files that are structured like this:
Column A: Internal Reference Text
B: English Text
C: German Text, usually already contains translations from previous translation rounds, I just need to fill in the blanks.
If I import this file into a new project in Trados I select:
File type = Bilingual Excel
B=Source, C=Target
Preserve Target Style ON
First Line = Column heading
Use Original translation origin and status
I even created a completely new TM for this.
The result is: The system imports everything from column B and C into the "Source" side of Trados including the first line.
It does not respect existing translations.
And it does not segment by cell, but by sentence.

What I need:
- Segmentation by cell
- First line excluded
- existing translation imported on the "Target" side in Trados
- empty cells in the target columns shown as "to be translated" on the "Target" side in Trados
