Alignment Tool - not opening anymore in Trados 2011

Question

The Alignment Tool in my Trados 2011 is no longer opening. When I click on it in Trados the mouse arrow keeps appearing and disappearing like it's trying to open it. The icon for the Alignment Tool appears on the bottom taskbar but won't open when clicked on. Any ideas on how to fix? Many thanks in advance.

Have you tried with a Studio repair or reset Studio? ( gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge

 This could be a simple case of resetting the Windows layout in Studio 
 
 (not sure exactly how this was back in 2011 as this version is no longer supported and I dont have it installed any longer) 
 
 If this does not work (and you use (or have used) multiple screens) it could be (as you see the icon) that this part is opening up off screen
