Thanks for sending the files. Your problem is that your sdlxliff is German to Turkish and yet the text contains English where the German is. So the MT engine will fail for most of the segments since it won't recognise the source language to be able to find a translation.

Your source files are different. The one that worked was an Excel file and the one that didn't was an XLIFF. Ignoring the strange process you are using where the source text is English and yet you are translating from German, I think the XLIFF file must be more rigid in this regard. I don't think there is anything we will do to change the code to accommodate this, but the problem is not a flag in the file preventing MT. It's more likely that the source was XLIFF and in these files the source and target languages are already predefined. Excel couldn't care less.
