Go to your files view and select the files you want in a single view by holding down the Ctrl key and selecting them in the order you want. Or click one and press Ctrl+A to select them all. Now use Open for translation and they will open up in one view.
You can also merge the files into one sdlxliff when creating the project if you like, but I think the virtual merge offers more flexibility for a translator working on their own. You can find a little more information on the different approaches in this article... it's a little old but the principles are the same:

As you received a package the virtual merge is your only option but perhaps it's useful to be aware of both for future projects you create.

In case it is a multi-folder project, you can use the virtual merge over all folders, regardless where the files are. So you can open files from many folders together. To do so, just tick the box for showing all folders in Files view:
