Creating a New Project, I receive this message at the first screen, when using the default: "An error occurred whilst trying to determine the file version."

Question

Has anyone seen this before? This occurs in my version of Studio 2015 SR3, right at the start of the creation of the Project, when clicking Next on the default choice for a Project template... The Tags selection does not go beyond the letter "a" in my browser (Firefox), sorry...

In this case I think you better log a support case. For licensing or installation issues that prevent you from working we have a route for all customers to get help. This can be achieved really quickly using this link:

You have two options: 
 
1. Submit a case using a webform 
2. Use live chat to get a licence reset 
 
You want to use the first option and make sure that you refer to this thread so the teams can see what you have tried already.

Hello, I have this same situation but with Studio Pro 2017 SR1, using Win10 64-bit version and without any other previous version of SDL installed. I wasn't able to create a new project based on one of the templates I have and neither using the Default template. Just opted for a different customised template that I have on my list and it worked without the need to perform any additional task. The strangest result is that Studio assumed all the settings of the initial project I was trying to open in the first place. There might be a bug here that will need a new patch.
