I have deleted the 14.0.0.0/UserSettings file, but the problem is still there. Can you please help?

  • Hi , perhaps that's the problem... it's empty and Studio is looking for resources on it?

Try renaming these folders and see if it helps:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0\

Note that this 14.0.0.0 is in your Local folder and not the Roaming which is most likely the one you renamed before.

Also rename this file if it's still a problem:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2017\Projects\projects.xml

    Call it projects.xml_old for example.

See if any of these help. Studio will look empty when it restarts if this is successful, but nothing is lost. You just need to add these resources back in again.
