Insert your general TM into packages

Question

Hi, 
 
 I was just participating in a SDL webinar on Studio tips and tricks. The relator talked about the useful resource of a general TM for each language pair to insert into all your projects. My question is: can I do that only for the projects I create or also for the translation packages I receive?

You can use your own TMs for any projects you work on, even those coming in Project Packages. If you want to add them quickly based on your preferred project templates then this article might be useful for you:

 You can do that for any project so long as the language pair is the same. You can do it with the project open or simply in your Studio Projects list view, by highlighting the project. 
 Project Settings > Language Pairs > Translation memory and automated translation > Use... 
 
 Then select from the dropdown menu that appears, which type of memory you wish to add, for example 'File-based...'
