Hi Spencer Allman ,
Interesting... Studio cannot save files as .txt which is the format that normally opens in Notepad. So... do you mean that your SDLXLIFF files now have the Notepad icon?
If so, maybe you opened an SDLXLIFF with the Notepad application and the file association was erroneously picked up by your settings?
To check that, in Windows 10 for example you need to go to Settings > Apps > Default apps > Choose default applications by filetype.
Then scroll down and see if 'Notepad' is defined next to the .sdlxliff file extension.
If so, choose SDL Trados Studio as the default instead:
If that's not what is happening, please describe what is.
All the best,
Alison
