In Studio 2017, I don't see any option to Display white spaces'' in the right side of the side-by-side editor.

It seems this option is gone now. Or am I missing something?

Thanks for your answer. I had to look a little for it, but found it... It's right under Editor, it was a bit differently organized before. But thanks!

File -> Options -> Editor is, where you always can change the way the text is displayed in Studio. 
Should you be missing any buttons or window parts, go to View and use "Reset window layout".
