(Maybe this question has been covered before, but I can't find it.)
In Microsoft Word (and many other editors), I can click on a word and drag the cursor so that the selected text automatically grows word by word. But the SDL Trados 2017 editor doesn't work that way.
Is there any way to enable (or implement) this in SDL Trados 2017?

I see what you mean but I don't actually highlight an individual word before dragging to select text so this has never bothered me. If you don't click first, just place your cursor and drag, words and phrases are highlighted exactly as in Word. If you mean you want to highlight a whole word rather than selecting from the middle of that word then place your cursor in front of the first letter...
I know no way of changing this. Maybe this difference in functionality compared to Word is a by-product of the Add Term feature.
