I am a new Trados user, so I may be asking a question already dealt with many times, so I apologize in advance.
In the context of translating Japanese to English does Trados accommodate vertically oriented text in Japanese as the original, or must the source text be horizontally oriented to be uploaded appropriately? Also, does Trados use OCR to allow PDF file text recognizable as a source text?

To test your question, I have uploaded the attached (JP sample file document (top to bottom).
When uploaded to Studio- the top to bottom text orientation is automatically displayed as horizontal text.
Studio does not display the original top to bottom text orientation.
