Issues after February patch

Hi Everyone,

After the February patch my Studio started to have a lot of issues. While i will skip on most of them since they have been there forever, at the moment i am having a major issue with project preparation and, in particular with Batch Tasks.

I received 2 files in TTX format yesterday. The customer is a regular and so i have a specific template with TM/MT glossary etc. to deal with his jobs. So, as soon as i receive the files i feed them into the template and proceed with the Batch Task.

However, in this specific case both files stopped at 77% and Studio crashed. This occurred consistently till i decided to try another method. I loaded the files as "Translate as single project". This did the trick, i believe because the file doesn't go through Batch Tasks. Then, once i translated them i ran a spell check (F7) and a Verification (F8). Both files failed the verification, leading to a crash that forced me to reboot the PC (Studio won't close from Task Manager either).

The other regular issue (documented on SDL KB) is that even if i succeed in preparing a project, the day after when i look for the files a message is generated telling me that "file XXXX" can't be found. This implies me browsing to the original file and "forcing" Studio to remember where the file is.

I would like to mention that:

- Since i had issues from the start with Studio 2017 and even more i have reinstalled Studio afresh (Also removing all folders from AppData folders and all other locations)

- I have removed all plugins and only reinstalled those i really need (WebLookup is not there just to save you some time).

- I can't disable my antivirus (Kaspersky Internet Security).

The customer isn't happy and insists in telling me i should work with Trados 2007 (which doesn't work on Windows 10 on my machines and at this stage has become obsolete if not for basic tasks i need to compensate for Studio's shortcomings).

Finally, both files can be uploaded and worked with regularly on another CAT (This is an issue i discussed other times with SDL support).

Is there any workable solution to overcome this pile of issues?

Thanks in advance.

Enrico
