Project location error - Please help

Hi everybody! I hope you're able to help.

When I'm starting a new project,  I fill in all the field and also the project location. This was never a problem. Please view screenshot of the settings.

This way a new folder is made for every new project. However, when I click next, I now get the following error message:

This path was used a long time ago, but somehow Trados now want to make a new project there every time. If I click OK..the project is made in the path you see in the error message. I cannot find anyplace, where this location is set , or why it gives the error... does anyone have any experience in dealing with this?

I use Studio 2014

  • Hi ,

Try a reset and if this doesn't help log a support case. It does look as though it's related to mapping somewhere between your MAC and Windows. To do the reset... Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\11.0.0.0

So the path would become this:

    c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\11.0.0.0_old

If you can't find this folder then you need to unhide your hidden files/folders:

    www.howtogeek.com/.../

To log a case use this link:

    gateway.sdl.com/liveagentlicensing

    You have two options:

    1. Submit a case using a webform
    2. Use live chat to get a licence reset

You want to use the first option and make sure that you refer to this thread so the teams can see what you have tried already.
