Is it possible to work a single file in different Trados versions?

Question

Hi. 
 I have a file currently working in SDL Trados Freelance in my personal PC. However, 
 I have SDL Trados Professional version in my office PC, and was wondering if I could 
 work in it vice-versa. 
 
 Could I just copy (and import) the XLIFF (or should I export it as Word doc?) file used to work in 
 Freelance ver. into the Professional ver.? 
 
 Please give some advice.

You can work on the files in both versions. Just copy the sdlxliff files (make sure you take the ones in the target language folder) you are working on. Freelance and Professional are fundamentally the same tool.... the professional just has some more features.
