Project files deleted after adding 2 TMs with the same name

I thought I would mention that I had a problem after adding another TM (sdltm) and source file (sdlxliff) to a project that was already underway.

By accident, the TM had the same name as another TM already in the project. Since nothing else was unusual, I am assuming that this is what caused the problem.

After adding the new TM and sdlxliff file, Studio complained that it could not find the other TMs. (I believe I did a batch "Analyze only" for the new file.) I pressed cancel for the 2 dialog boxes, assuming I could just add the two TMs back in again, and then use the previous sdlxliff files to update the project TMs with the work I had already done.

Then I tried opening one of the previous files for editing -- the names of the previous files were still showing up in the file list.

I was surprised when Studio told me that the file was not available.

I then looked at the files in the project directory and noticed that the previous sdlxliff files and TMs had been deleted. All of my work was gone ...

Luckily I had a backup from the previous night, otherwise I would have lost days and days of work.

This is probably a pretty unusual situation, and I am unfortunately too busy to try to reproduce it now.

But if it really was caused by adding a TM with the same name as an existing TM, then the consequences are quite severe.

Hopefully someone at SDL will see if they can replicate the problem.
