Error message "Unexpected exception when initializing view part SDL TMS" in SDL Trados Studio 2017 when trying to open the program

Question

I've installed Kasperky AV yesterday and I can't open SDL Trados Studio 2017 anymore. When launching the program, an error message displays after the Initializing Views step, stating "Unexpected exception when initializing view part SDL TMS", and the program won't launch. 
 I've uninstalled Kaspersky, but that doesn't seem to solve the problem. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Occasionally AV programs may quarantine certain SDL files (believing they may be a danger) which sounds like this could be the issue here. 
If you have completely removed Kaspersky support.kaspersky.com/.../11374 then I would first run a Studio repair - 
 
 gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge 
 
Then reboot and restart Studio.

 It is possible that the same may happen again unfortunately. 
 Therefore I suggest if you install Kaspersky - and BEFORE starting Studio -to 'White list ' Studio and Multiterm- 
 
 This should see an end to the problems.
