Files View Tab gone?

Question

As shown in the following screenshot, the "Files View" is missing:

I confirmed on another PC with an HD resolution that it should be shown, is this a known issue with Hi-Res displays? (I also tried repairing and resetting my installation but nothing changed). Also, I tried expanding the window (shown by the yellow highlight), but the window size cannot be changed)

Mine looks like that when there are no projects in my projects list. Once I've opened a package, a project or a file for translation, the Files button comes back, and the Reports one. 
Could it be that you've just removed all your projects from the Projects list for the first time in ages?

Hi Alison 
 Thanks for reminding me about that. I was pretty sure I had projects in my projects list, but when I went to double check to make sure, Trados Studio crashed with the following error and stopped working altogether! 
 
 I ended up deleting my projects.xml and user settings and now everything seems like it is back to normal...
