I have read the article but it is mainly about the winalign while changing the segmentation and i'm working on the default segmentation during translations and while creating the winalign project and the result is very bad.

I also tried with copying source to target and generating a clean file and creating a new winalign project but with the same bad result.

I would like to share what i reached with you. while aligning the same files with different language pairs English(United State)->French(France) the alignment result is very good how ever the target file content is Arabic and below is a screenshot.

The problem is appearing while using this language pair English(united State)->Arabic(Egypt) as per the below screenshot

It may be a bug in the tool while using the Arabic language as a target language.

I think you're missing the point in this regard.  Different languages can segment text/punctuation in different ways.  So being aware of this means you may have to customise the default target rules, or source rules, in order to see an improved alignment.

The content of the target fileformatting still looks different... but this would not explain how that kind of formatting difference would change the segmentation based on language.  Can we see the source and target file to test?  You can send them to pfilkin@sdl.com if you can share them?
