Error processing command line arguments

I need help as I haven't been able to import my clients' packages the last week. When I import (and it dosn't matter if I save on my computer or not) I receive the message that starts with: Error processing command line arguments. Access to the path [name of path] was denied.

And then a looong "explanation". What do I do does anybody know?

  • Helle,

Unfortunately the error is not really revealing as much information as I would have hoped.
But as the ...access to the path is denied...' I am going to suggest this is likely due to a corruption of SDL Studio software.

Therefore please perform a Studio reset-
    gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge

    Now before you open Studio-
Please identify your AntiVirus provider and then google 'how to add programs and files to the xxx providers AV white list.

    Now Start Studio again-
    is the problem now resolved?

  • Thank you. Is there a better explanation of how to do this, one that is not for IT specialists? I do not know how to follow the steps in these instructions.
  • I looked through some other answers and followed this advice: Open Setup/Manage User Profiles in Trados and "Reset User Settings". It worked!! Thanks for answering anyway.
