Just in case you mean the bilingual file and not that you actually have to change the text? Then just edit the language codes of the SDLXLIFF with a text editor. Search for "en-US" including the quotes and replace with "en-GB" including the quotes. Or to be on the safe side depending on whether it's source or target search and replace these:
source-language="en-US"
with
source-language="en-GB"
or
target-language="en-US"
with
target-language="en-GB"
You then send back the SDLXLIFF files on their own. Note that you would need to do this on a copy so you don't break the existing project.
