Is it possible to format portions of the target text as "source language" (or as "do not spell-check")?

Is it possible to format portions of the target text as "source language" (e.g. original text followed by a translation in parenthesis), in order to exclude them from the spell checker results? Or can I mark some text as "Do not spell-check"? Thanks!

This is not possible unless you hide the source language text altogether, so if the file was Word for example then format the file as you need to have it first with source written twice so you can hide the first instance and just extract the second for translation using the option to not extract hidden text. 
 
But perhaps it might be easier to use the approach in this article... depending on the format of the file you have been provided with for translation:
