Failed to save target content

Question

When I try to save some files as target (from xliff back to .docx) I get the following error message even though there is actually no extra tag nowhere. I ran the verification (F8) and it found no errors.

<ErrorMessage>Failed to save target content: Extra tag '<bookmarkstart id="91" name="lt_pId098">' found after segment '80'.</ErrorMessage>

There is no table of contents in this file.

More often, the solution to these problems is resolved like this: 
 
- Open the source file again using the "Translate Single Document" process 
- Save it to create a single file project 
- Try to save target now before you do anything. 
- If it works go onto the next step, but if it doesn't then you need to consider the more advanced trouble shooting steps in the KB article 
- Pretranslate the file using your Translation Memory 
- Save the target file
