Custom keyboard shortcuts not working

Hello,

Yesterday, I modified a couple of shortcuts, namely the one used for Reset Filters and the one used to see Regex Match AutoSuggest Provider suggestions. They seemed to work fine.

Yet, today, when I opened back Studio none of them worked. I tried to do some tweaking with User Profiles as suggested in other Community threads (which, BTW, I don't understand much. If the program allows you to modify shortcuts, they should always work if there is no overlapping with any other shortcut —and there isn't—), switched from "Default" profile to "SDL Trados" profile (yet another thing that I find difficult to understand; shouldn't the "Default" profile for a program called "SDL Trados Studio" be the "SDL Trados" profile?) and restarted Studio.

Now, the Regex Match AutoSuggest Provided custom shortcut works as a charm, but the "Reset Filters" custom shortcut doesn't :(.

Has anyone encountered a similar issue? Did I do anything wrong or is it just buggy behavior? Does anyone know any way to fix this that does not imply restoring to factory defaults?

Thank you!

  • No, not really. All those I use do work. Those do not work, which can conflict with Windows shortcuts. Also I avoid using ALT in my combinations, as this often causes interferences with the ribbon.
For "Reset display filter" I use what was default I think, this means CTRL+ALT+F6 - and that works perfectly well.
