When using a TM (either server-based or file-based), I cannot recover some details like TM name, translator id, time added, etc. (the yellow bar is empty). Trados just does not show those details. Also, I cannot insert the desired hit with shortcut [Ctrl+number], neither can I edit the entry. Is it a prompt to buy SDL support services? Any ideas?

Viewing your screenshot, I think it might be a issue of viewing right and inserting rights you don't have, if this is a server based TM.
You find these permissions to be ticked in Groupshare in the menu Users/roles/permissions

Thank you for your input, I will investigate this too, but I doubt if I'm honest. First, I am 'Administrator' for all our corporate GS TMs. Second, it worked well until recently for all other roles ('Power Users' and 'Translators' in our case) regardless their rights, with same OS and software version. Now it works randomly: some segments (20%) within the same TM are still shown as designed, but most segments (roughly 80%) show only that yellow bar. Third, it also happens with file-based (local) TMs. Selecting a whole segment and pressing F3 (Concordance search) gives all the details, but simply putting cursor to the same segment gives nothing.
Ok, I've managed to resolve it by deleting the magic threesome (BaseSettings.xml, plugincache.xml, and Settings.xml; the fourth file UserSettings.xml I left alone). Seems to do the trick =) I guess I have to repeat it now on all other machines.
Update: Deleting plugincache.xml only is sufficient to recover the TM yellow bar, no need to delete all 3 files. Weirdly no plugins were installed other than those by default, which means that internal plugins somehow affect the bar?..
